If you are circumcised then properly cleaning your penis is automatic as you wash everywhere else with soap and water.

An uncircumcised male must wash the outside of his penis along with the rest of his body and must also completely retract his foreskin to expose the whole glans (head) and the coronal sulcus (groove) behind it. The inside of the foreskin must be washed with soap and water to remove all traces of the waste product called smegma which collects under the foreskin, particularly in the sulcus. The soap should then be completely washed off with plain water.

When drying oneself it is important to again retract the foreskin and to pat the inside dry (don-t rub it as this may irritate it) before allowing the foreskin to re-cover the glans.

Once puberty starts it is important to wash under the foreskin morning and evening as well as after any strenuous exercise (gym or sports) and after any swimming (to remove the chlorine fully).

i heard that you should never wash it with Lynxs type washing body wash. but i do but not under the foreskin.

pull back your foreskin so the skin goes over your bell end, and wash, and check for spots etc but sometimes the penis can be hard to put the foreskin back, but dont get worried it will go back.

best to do this when erect.

If you are uncut, the foreskin must be retracted fully to clean the unexposed portion. Wash with soap and water and dry well.

Go to your local STI, GUM or whatever fancy name they have for the local -special clinic- in your area. There, the doctors are much more practised in this sort of thing, and if necessary will refer you to a specialist. Please DO NOT feel embarrassed by going to one of these clinics - if you go to your doctor he will only send you there anyway. It could be a minor infection which could be causing this trouble - and a couple of pills could well clear it for you, and if not, you-re in the hands of the experts who can deal with your problem - confidentially too.
